I am currently failing both Latin II and Symbolic Logic II. The fact that I, oh so many years ago, wanted to be a computer programmer and, not as many years ago but more than I wish to admit to, an English major (so as to improve my writing), is not lost on me.
Obviously I am not going to be an Analytical Philosophy professor. I am also not going to make more money with a PhD as I will if I pass the bar. Seeing as I don't look at any of this as my career but rather as something to do to pass the time when I don't write, it seems prudent to chase the best salary.
Incidentally, salary really does come from the Latin word for salt, because that's what they were paid in. Also, marching that much made you sweaty. Mmm...sweaty Roman soldiers.......
