She lived in the fucking White House and had servants surrounding her. She was white in a time of racial Segregation. She was the fucking wife of the fucking President of the United States. Excepting her husband, I suspect NO ONE could make Mrs Roosevelt feel inferior at ALL.
This kind of perpetuated thinking is a detriment to the struggles of human beings all over the world.
Who can make one feel inferior without one's consent? Anyone with more functional social power, more social sphere, more social voice...more anything. 'More' now means 'more important' in the West. Anyone with more can make one instantly less. And less is inferior.
Anyone can make you feel inferior when you have no resources to learn your own abilities.
So, instead of quoting a privileged ol' white woman from the middle of last century:
